It has been some time since ABT Sportsline last brought one of its RS3-R builds into the spotlight, yet the name returns without feeling recycled. This ride may not be a brand-new concept for ABT, however, it does give the impression that it has just rolled out of the tuner`s garage and jumped into public view.
And even if underneath it actually remains a genuine Audi RS 3 Sportblack, it still distances itself from the standard model really quickly with one-off characteristics. The claim that it can leave a Mercedes-AMG A 45 S behind already frames the conversation before the technical figures even appear.
Complete Powertrain Information
The power upgrades are where this RS3 really separates itself from the rest. We are talking here about the 2.5-liter five-cylinder now receiving a power boost, which brings it to a total of 503 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. That allows for a 0 to 100 km/h run in just 3.3 seconds.

This position, the RS3-R Sportback one-second ahead of the first-gen Audi R8 with a V8-powered engine, a notable comparison given the different layouts and performance figures of the two vehicles.
Exterior
The visuals are also visible, even if they don’t scream for attention; however, it does reshape the car`s personality. We are dealing here with an upgraded front apron with blades along the sides, while the front flicks add a sharper definition to the nose. There are also the side mirrors receiving new casings. The rear end is also enhanced with a new spoiler, skirt insert just below the bumper, as well as new brake light strengthens the motorsport intention.
ABT`s black logos couldn’t have missed and are present on the front grille and tailgate. Also, other exterior parts appear to be made from carbon fiber, which creates a subtle contrast against the car`s green overall appearance rather than overwhelming it.

The stance plays a role as well. The RS3-R rides lower, and the wheels, sourced from the aftermarket world, are described as quite large. The setup consists of 20-inch wheels wrapped in 245/30 tires. That combination of larger alloys and reduced ground clearance results in a ride that is said to be a bit jigglier, though that seems to be part of the intended character.
Interior
Inside, the RS 3 foundation remains intact but receives ABT-specific detailing. Logos identify the build, a new start-stop switch cap has been installed, and dedicated floor mats reinforce that this is not a standard Sportback. The additions are measured rather than dramatic, yet they complete the overall theme.
