Owners of an early Rolls-Royce Cullinan who admire the updated Series II design now have another route besides trading up to a newer vehicle. A California-based aftermarket company has developed a conversion package designed to transform a pre-facelift Cullinan into something visually close to the latest factory version.
The project comes from Stars In The Ceiling, a tuner known for previous luxury-focused builds. One of its newest creations started as a Cullinan Series I before receiving a broad collection of exterior changes intended to mirror the facelifted Series II. The company recently showcased the SUV on social media and says demand for the package has already generated several customer builds.
Rather than pursuing a custom styling direction, the conversion follows the appearance of the production Series II as closely as possible. The upgrade touches many visible areas of the vehicle. New front and rear bumper components are part of the package, alongside revised headlights, a different front grille, updated Spirit of Ecstasy covers, modified exhaust finishers, chrome trim pieces, radiator air covers, internal brackets, and additional supporting hardware.
There is another option available for buyers seeking a more upscale look. According to the tuner, the package may also include a Black Badge specification conversion. In practice, this allows an older Cullinan to resemble the higher-tier facelifted version without replacing the entire vehicle.
Stars In The Ceiling reports having completed two conversions so far. The company also claims five more are currently under construction. If everything goes according to schedule, the total number of completed builds should reach seven or eight by the end of June 2026.
The business case seems straightforward. Some owners prefer the appearance of a facelifted model yet remain attached to the vehicle already sitting in their garage. This particular Cullinan demonstrates how extensive body and trim work can significantly alter the visual identity of the original SUV. Looking at the finished result, identifying it as a former Series I requires a closer inspection.
Performance remains unchanged. Rolls-Royce introduced the Cullinan in 2018 at its Goodwood facility in England. Six years later, the company unveiled the Series II update. The revised model brought a redesigned front fascia, larger wheels, fresh interior materials, broader personalization possibilities, and an updated technology package centered on the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster.
Under the hood, both versions continue to rely on the same twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V12. In Black Badge form, output stands at 591 horsepower, or 441 kW and 600 ps, together with 664 pound-feet, or 900 Nm, of torque. Standard models deliver 563 horsepower, or 420 kW and 571 ps, along with 627 pound-feet, or 850 Nm. As a result, the California conversion focuses entirely on appearance rather than additional performance.
